Questo rifiuto non può che frantumare le fragili corazze, far mancare le parti del corpo che non sono più utili ad assolvere i compiti nel mondo , da sempre, in fondo odiato e reietto. Dunque la protagonista, in fondo, se l’è voluta, la sua dissoluzione. Avrebbe dovuto quantomeno fingere entusiasmo per ciò che per nulla la entusiasmava, costruire un altro sé, più confacente al contesto. E magari, ora, sarebbe ancora integra.
